What should expatriates do once they returns?

There is no dispute that exile of the Keralites nowadays as one of the main reasons to reach to prosperity. Kerala is far superior to that of the other states of India, with the expenditure on expatriates being exchanged to Kerala. The main reason is that 90% of Keralites depend on gulf countries for foreign employment. In Kerala too, we are investing money in the industry, including those who work in industries. People in the states outside of Kerala will have to give priority to exile, and Europe and the United States and African countries will be invested in many of them and will become citizenship in the respective countries.

The biggest crisis facing the Gulf expatriates today is the loss of job losses. It is estimated that over two lakh people have lost their jobs in the past two years. ‘Nitaqat’ is expected to cross 25-18 million expatriates from Saudi Arabia in 2018 alone. There is no doubt that the vast majority of them will be Malayalee’s. It is worth mentioning that the Gulf emigration of Malayalees who started in the early years of the 1970s is going to end sometime more than half a century ago. It is said that even ordinary people cannot depend on the Gulf countries as old as for labor.

There are many studies conducted about expatriates and their economic sitauations. Below is the link where Al Jaeera , the leading television channel in the middle east sharing the concern on Reality, Challenges and Opportunities in the gulf countries

Emigration started in the industrial and commercial sectors and started in all spheres. In small business sectors, health care and technology, especially in Kerala, Indians were particularly influential in Saudi Arabia. It's almost ending. The unemployment and indebtedness of the indigenous peoples, the uncertainties in oil prices, the wars and riots of the Gulf countries, Generally, there is concern that the oil-dependent economy will continue to grow further. To overcome this, Emirates, including Dubai, is seeking to gain a clear advantage in the world of commerce. There have been attempts to do this for over a decade.

But this is not our problem, it is the fear of the situation in Kerala if lakhs of expatriates are forced to come back. The state government is implementing large scale schemes to protect the returning residents. However, it is clear that such activities are not effective enough because of the current stability of returnees.

Kerala is 100 percent consumer state. In Kerala, agriculture and small industries are also likely to produce value added products. The state government has initiated various schemes for expatriates who are returning to these enterprises. It is important to develop and utilize efficient use and facilities.

Nearly 50 lakh worker is currently employed in the construction sector in Kerala too. They get good wages here. Most of the common expatriates are doing similar jobs in the Gulf countries. But that does not mean that it is based on improved technologies and security standards. The situation in the State should be improved in order to benefit the trainees in Kerala, to gain technical expertise and achieve better livelihood on their own. The government has to take the initiative and initiatives to help it. The Government has announced an attractive scheme to help the expatriates to start small and medium enterprises. In addition to the entrepreneurial ventures, rehabilitation must also be done to provide employment and facilities for returnees to the labor sector.

The state government has already been able to implement a number of schemes for the welfare of the expatriates. The Norka Routes Comprehensive Convention is being held in Kozhikode today as part of efforts to reduce the difficulties of the expatriate community and strengthen the rehabilitation project.

There are many rehabilitation project provided by state government, but very less people are registered to get the benefits.

The main objective of the Convention is to discuss the practical challenges faced by entrepreneurs to start small industries and other employment opportunities. Rehabilitation project can be utilized for all expatriates who have worked abroad for two years. Twenty per cent for starting a venture would be given to Rs 20 lakh per subsidized. The five companies will get Rs. Three per cent interest subsidy will be given to those who repay the bank without any restriction on the first four years.
